Here’s my severely overdued post-Prelims post.

Yeah yeah yeah. Like everyone else, I’m thought that I screwed up Prelims. BUT here’s a comforting thought; thank God it was only Prelims.

Thank God we have Prelims to screw up, Thank God we have Prelims to slap up awake, Thank God for everything.

Imagine that what we sat for a week ago was the Alevels examination and not Prelims. Woah. I just can’t imagine that.

So shut the complaining and get yourself ready for the real deal.

I’m going to spare myself the frustration and not blog about PW. Think of happy thoughts =D

Happy Thought No.1: PT made me happy. It must be the endorphine. Ran 2.4km around the school followed by 2 sets of stairs-climbing and conditioning. 2.4 was pretty fine. Jogged at a rather comfortable pace. Time to buck up and pick up pace and REACH FOR MY LIMITS! Stairs-climbed and conditioned with JN, HH, MS and WT. Quite slack lah. But at the last set, I tried to make up for my slacked first set so I put in more effort to do conditioning and climb stairs. No muscle ache so far. Got to prepare myself for the REAL run.

Happy Thought No.2: “Celebrated” Ms Teoh’s birthday! Actually I didn’t know about it. It just so happened that the rest were walking towards the PE dept/grandstand when I went back to the ODAC room after PW so I kaypoh-kaypoh went to ask them what was happening. Welfare I/C bought cheesecake! How sinful~ Had a few bites of the cake. Yeah, I love cheesecake <3

Happy Thought No.3: According to the weighing scale in my brother’s bedroom, I lost 1kg! Hehe nothing much but still, one kilogram!! BUT the weighing scale is not that accurate so I should not believe it so much. I have been wanting to get myself a digital weighing scale but haven’t found a nice and cheap one. Tell me if you know where I can get it yeah.

Happy Thought No.4: I’m going to run 15km this coming Sunday and boy am I excited for it!!

Correction: Happy Thought No.4 was an attempt on my part to adopt a positive attitude towards the 15km run as as you guys can see, I’M SCARED! Not scared in the literal meaning, but rather I just don’t know what to expect of it!  It will be my very first race and it will determine if I will ever take part in a race ever again =/ Hope that it will be fine. Dear God, give me strength and determination!

I want to go on a shopping spree. But I’m broke =/ Actually, I’m not broke. I just want to save money $_$

Farewell Assembly 2008. First time sitting together in the hall with our batch!

135 came very late. I waited at the bus-stop from 6:32AM to 6:51AM. Usually the same bus will reach my bus-stop at 6:38AM but God-knows-why it came glamourously late. Pamela didn’t come to school in themorning ’cause of she “sunburn ultra badly” after kayaking around/to (?) Ubin yesterday (TELL ME MORE ABOUT IT!) so I was stoning alone on the bus. Felt pretty calm, maybe ’cause of the no-lessons-school-day feeling. And I was pretty excited to sit together with my batchmates. Whee.

Met AD and Shermaine while walking in to school and then ST while walking towards the canteen. We had a hard time looking for the others ’cause our JN’s poor directional skills. She kept telling me ‘at the back of the hall’ when in fact they were nowhere near the back. Haha. Found the rest and migrated to the back. Farewell assembly was quite okay but we got a little restless towards the end. Nice one QA! Throw face lah you.

Finally got my free ice-cream but SK kept hurrying us (MS, ST, me) so I stuffed the bottom part of it into my big fat mouth and ST stuffed hers into mine too. Looked like some hamster lah. SK could have let me eat my ice-cream in peace ’cause the PT was half-empty when we entered. Felt a little weird ’cause the ODACers were sitting just 2 rows down my class. Felt like a traitor but got to admit that I feel more comfortable with my batchmates than my classmates. Shrugs. The drama/play (?) gradually got boring until the interception part. The VJ guys can be pretty funny.

Went back to the ODAC room to wait for the rest for our supposedly movie outing. Had to photocopy 200 copies of our leaflet and some people (yes, katharine?) conveniently cut our queue! Hmph. Had to wait for quite some time ’cause the photocopy shop aunties and machines were busy. I was pitying ourselves for having to cut 200 copies of the leaflet but thanks to KA who suggested borrowing the GO’s paper cutter, we saved ourselves a lot of trouble. Ended up borrowing the librarian’s paper cutter. Went back to the room to fold the leaflets and left shortly after.

Suntec City Pizza Hut. I think that after fasting for one month and drinking very little water, my bladder somehow shrunk. I went to the toilet THREE times!! Once before eating, once while eating and once after eating. All in 2 to 3 hours! WOAH! Ordered some weird creamish pasta which I hated and will never buy again. Why didn’t anyone tell me that it was cream pasta? Sigh. I shall stick to my pizza and lasagne the next time I eat at Pizza Hut. Safer choice.

Sat down and talked for quite some time. Initially, we had two conversation going on at the same time ’cause the table was just too long. 16 people! But somehow when MS mentioned ‘Nuskin’ (?) / ‘Newskin’ (?) everyone looked at her and our two conversations became one. From ghost stories to ghostly encounters to religion. Amazing. Pretty interesting conversation that we had. Inter-faith discussion in Pizza Hut Suntec City. Left with JX at around 5:30PM (everything obeys my law of compensation). So much for him telling me that we will reach home by 6:00PM. I only reached my house at 6:35PM can. Haha. Bus buddy =)

So here I am. Blogging about today. Haven’t blogged in such detailed narrative way for quite some time! Wondering if JN is uploading the Pizza Hut pictures tonight. Then I can upload. Teachers’ Day 2008.

Erhm..It wasn’t quite teachersday-ish for me. ‘Cause #1 I missed a huge chunk of VJ Teachers’ Day celebration, #2 The teachers left Cedar for Teachers’ Day lunch before I could even see them, #3 I didn’t get to give my teachers the thing I made for them. If not for #1 camwhoring with a handful of batchmates in the bus back to VJ, #2 meeting Aroha, #3 meeting Germaine and Ke Hui, #4 bumping into Eugenia in PS, #5 seeing a few (ex)Cedar Guides, #6 seeing other familiar faces in a not familiar place, I would found today very suck-ish. Ahh, slap yourself for complaining so much.

Well, I had to wake so at an unearthly hour in order to catch the earlier bus so that I can be in school by 715am. Ended up having a slight morning work-out running into school because the bus driver drove at a slow pace. Reached SAFRA Tampines and was disappointed at the outcome of the whole event. Well, students from East Zone schools were supposed to skip continuously for 3minutes (in lieu of ACES day) but what happened in the end? Basically the whole event was a flop. Kind of wished I was back in VJ, eating breakfast with my class and Mrs. Liew. Only got high AFTER the event when we cheered ‘Yo VJC’. The 25ths (FT, GT, JN, KH, LH, MS, QA, SK, ST) took jump shots and starting camwhoring all the way to the chartered bus and in the bus. Photos please Jia Ni!

Managed to catch the last few parts of the Teachers’ Day celebration in VJ. Not bad, it was quite fun! The whole dramatic thing was super funny. Weird, random and yet funny. The video presentation about the teachers’ ‘excursion’ (HAHA) was FUNNY! It was nice seeing the teachers, not being their usual self. And yeah, the photo slide for the Teachers’ Day dinner. That was all that I managed to catch.

Up into the ODAC room and celebrated BW, PO and YO’s early birthdays (’cause of September holiday). Sorry PO for forcing you to come back to VJ! AD baked cake/brownies with M&Ms! Nice try AD! You’re like our official cook/chef. First it was jelly, now it’s cake! Hmm, wonder what’s next. Haha.

Rushed back to Cedar with JN, LH, SK and her two NP mates. I was pretty disappointed when I found out that the teachers already left the school for the Teachers’ Day lunch. Crap, didn’t they know or expect that old girls would want to come back to visit their teachers? But having the teachers leaving for the lunch at 12pm doesn’t allow us to see them! Unless we pon our JC celebrations. Which isn’t something I have considered doing in VJ. Why can’t they have a dinner instead? Allow the teachers to go home, wash up and dress nicely for a dinner instead of dressing casual for a less formal lunch. Wasted all my #1 time, #2 effort, #3 money making the things for them. I do hope that I can get to see them one day, soon.

Well, seeing familiar faces in Cedar made me a little happier. Germaine and Ke Hui whom I have not seen since the day we got back our O’Levels results! Vishalini and Uma whom I have not seen since Dhivyaa’s birthday but that’s not counted as proper meeting up ’cause I came late and Uma left early. And many other class of 2007 Cedarians whom I haven’t seen in ages!

Camwhored a little in Cedar (photos with Vishalini) and then went to Bugis with Germaine and Ke Hui where they ate their lunch while I sat and watched them eat ’cause I had a stomachache. Walked around a little before going to Plaza Sing where I met Dhivyaa and NM!!! Not bad ah, Dhivyaa. Uma left not long after Dhivyaa came. Left Aroha to walk around PS with Germaine and Ke Hui for a while and joined Vishalini and Dhivyaa after that. “Sent” Dhivyaa to Compasspoint where we camwhored (again) and went back to Serangoon.

Mummy refused to go out with me. Hmph.

Oh, and I broke my spectacles AGAIN. And the guy at the spectacles shop said “Sorry, I can’t do anything.”

It’s easy for you to say that.

Level 1 Rock-Climbing Course tomorrow! Pretty excited for it =) It has been ages since I last climbed the rockwall! The last time I touched the rockwall was when I was still in Rock-Climbing during PAE haha. I really wanted to join ODAC and Rock-Climbing but people told me not to ’cause I will not be able to commit myself to both CCAs and boy am I glad that I listened to them. But still..I love rock-climbing!

Ahh! My brother just bought an electric guitar and bla bla guitar stuff and he’s making a lot of noise playing his guitar!! NOISE POLLUTION!

I just realised that the Temasek Defence Seminar that I was supposed to attend is on 25th July ie. ODAC Investiture! Oh man, I am secretly dreading the seminar. God knows why I agreed to attend the seminar. And God knows I know nothing about defence! What am I supposed to do if the Minister of Defence erhm ask me a question related to defence and security bla bla? Hopefully I will be able to make it back to school in time for ushering and Investiture! =)

Today was a very relaxed day =) Woke up at 630am and after morning prayers, I read a book and that made me very happy! After reading the book, I had a sudden urge to bake!! But I could not find any baking ingredients in my kitchen except for a packet of instant croissant mix. Little did I expect that the dough had to be left to rise for 2 1/2 hours! Played cards with my mum and dad while waiting for the dough to rise. Fast forward..Baked my croissant! =) If I have not decided what I want to be when I grow up (how cliche), I’ll open a bakery/pastry shop =) Then I can spend my life baking and baking and baking! Oh how fun!

Today was my first time seeing the NDP 2008 Music Video with Hady. My mum was like, “Eh, who’s that guy singing?” Me, having heard that Hady was singing this year’s song, told her that it was Hady. And my mum was so shocked ’cause she said that his make-up made him look non-Malay, somewhat Chinese. Shrugs. By the way, the song does not sound nice.

Received Promos time table yesterday. For goodness’ sake, we have not even finished getting back our Mid-year results and here comes the Promos time table. Tsk tsk. Not much time to study, got to buck up and put in more effort to study for Promos. No more E’s and S’s, I hope.

I want to take part in the Great Eastern Women Run! 10K! Got to start training if I want to finish it without any problems =)

Ok, time to do some serious work.

Ok, got to do some speed-typing. Got to make this post short and sweet, chop chop! It’s 9:32am now and I have to meet dear Vishalini at 10am. Good luck!

Mid-years are finally over. No sense of relieve/accomplishment probably due to lack in effort in studying for it. I am pretty sure that I will fail all 4 content subjects ie. Biology, Chemistry, Math and Economics. 5 fails if you count GP in. Ohh wait, isn’t that EVERYTHING?! Wow!

The Pinnacle is tomorrow! Pretty excited considering that it is my first adventure race. GO ADELINE! We’ll beat Momo, whoever they are. I just hope that we will not end up last..Chiong ahh!

I hope my parents will not nag at me much these few weeks. After all, they do have a reason to nag as I will be out for ODAC-related activities every weekend for the following few weeks. This Saturday: Ngee Ann Adventure Race. This Sunday: 2 Star Kayaking. Next Saturday and Sunday: 2 Star Kayaking. Next next Saturday or Sunday: Level 1 Rock-Climbing. Next next next Saturday or Sunday: Investiture cum Farewell (tentative).

Got to start mugging for Promos if I want to be promoted!

Here I am blogging while the other 25ths are/were at PS having ‘celebratory’ dinner. The dinner was supposed to be at Suntec and I figured out that since it was already 730pm by the time we started walking out of school and also since Suntec is nowhere near my house and also since I promised myself that I will officially begin mugging for Mid-year Examinations (which is in 4 days time), I unwillingly decided to give the dinner a miss. So the whole bunch of us was at the bus-stop- YY and I waiting for our buses to go home while the rest waited for 36 to go Suntec. Then last minute we were comtemplating between Suntec and PS. My bus came before they decided so I boarded the bus. While on the bus, I smsed Jia Ni regarding the Records Challenge results and somehow the topic shifted to dinner and I found out that they decided to go to PS. What a waste! If we had decided on PS earlier, I would have gone since it is on the Purple Line. Sigh.

Aiya I had wanted to blog about 1) Enviro, 2) Paint-A-Home and 3) Records Challenge Judging Day but my mum called me out to play cards with her. Apparently my dad learned a new card game and he wants to teach me. Haha. I only started playing card games proper when I came to VJ. The only card game I could play was Taiti, learned from Anger in Sec3. Haha. Miss those random ‘guides sessions’ that we have =)

Anyways, a huge thank you to the Victorians who came down to support us today and the non-Victorians who despite not being a part of the school are willing to spend the afternoon supporting us. Although we lost to Hwa Chong by 9 points (it’s ok!), we know that we have put in our best and it is a win or lose situation so I guess this time round the better lot won.

Victoria Junior College is taking part in the Channel 8 Records Challenge Programme. We have cleared the first round ie. Filipino bamboo dancing for the longest time and have proceeded on to the next. For the second round, we were given a picture of a Subway Sandwich. Our task is to paint 200 T-Shirts and get 200 people to wear the shirts and stand in a specific order so that when viewed from a distance, the pictures on the T-Shirts will form the picture of the Subway Sandwich given. We have PAINSTAKINGLY painted 200 T-Shirts and now we need 200 volunteers to come down on 16th June (Filming) and 18th June ( Judging Day) to wear our shirts. Please do come down to support us. Wahh, amazing! I have managed not to use the computer for 5 full days!! Claps claps! My Gmail inbox was almost bursting with 52 inbox messages and my Hotmail inbox with 46 messages. Abstinence is the key, baby! Haha.

Actually, it’s not that I purposely don’t want to use the computer. Rather I don’t have the time to. Let’s see. 7th & 8th was Under No Roof. 9th was my only full break day. 10th and 11th was Painting T-Shirts for Record Challenge. So technically this is my first free day after 7th.

Under No Roof: Du Family. The ‘camp’ was okay lah. A pretty good way to waste your whole weekend. The camp started with a game called ‘Family March’ which we won! WOOHOO! Shi Han was so skeptical when we told her that we had won. So little confidence in us! HAHA. We were spamming ‘Just Whack-s’ throughout the whole game. It was a real test of just whacking skills. HAHA JN and KH saw something which they should not have. Winning the game entitled us to the ‘best’ breakfast the next day. Dinner was one of the worst camp dinners I have ever had in my whole entire life. It was plain rice with 2 cans of sardines and 2 cans of baked beans to be shared with 11 people. And an apple each. If not for the apple I would have been very grumpy after dinner. Anyways, I have diarrhoea the night before and it did not get any better during the camp. I went to the toilet 3 times on Day 1 of the camp. Wahh, I really cannot stand stomachaches! After dinner, we boarded a bus to West Coast Park to build our slums using cardboard boxes and masking tape. Did not sleep well ’cause my sleeping area was at a wet patch. Woke up, played taiti, went to the toilet and slept a little while longer. IT WAS FREEZING COLD! Open space, nothing to break the wind, nothing to cover us up. Mind you we were sleeping near the sea!

Breakfast was bread, kaya spread and banana. I do not know why I ate banana despite having diarrhoea. Stupid or stupid? Dismantled our slum, slept on the park pavement while waiting for the bus and boarded the bus back to VivoCity. Played some station games. Lunch was BK Cheeseburger which was not filling, especially for the guys. One pathetic piece of cheeseburger is definitely not sufficient for lunch. Started building our houses. I had fun folding the paper bricks! Fun to the max. I don’t know why the rest found it boring and sian-ed, it was so fun! Stacked up the bricks to build our house. Sad, don’t think anyone has a picture of us with our completed house. END OF CAMP!

Dinner with the ‘Du Family’. Had B&J after that! YAY Made me super happy. Don’t ask me why I ate ice-cream when I have diarrhoea. Cookie Dough =) Next time I want to try the cheesecake thing that AD bought. Looks nice. But Cookie Dough will still be my all-time favourite.

Day 1 Painting: Helped to re-cut the cardboard pieces into the right dimensions first. Then I started drawing on the shirts. FUN! But quite stressful. Pizza for lunch! Bacon v.s Sausage = Teck Boon v.s Por Yee. YAY Por Yee won and we (Room 1 people ie. drawing people) got the sausage pizza while they (Room 2 ie. painting people) got the disgusting-looking bacon pizza! After drawing all 200 shirts, we moved into the other room to help them paint the shirts. Sorry, no talent in this area!! LF totally insulted my painting by painting over the whole stretch of bread that I was painting HAHA. Started having a headache which gradually worsened. Went home with MS ’cause I promised my dad that I will leave school at 6pm if not he would not let me go for painting he next day.

Day 2 Painting: Arranged and labeled all the completed shirts. Drew a few more shirts then went on to help paint the shirts. After yesterday, I avoided shading and only paint the base colours. Lunch was Macs. WT, LF and SH brought Lazy out for a walk =) Had our makeshift Macs counter in front of the T-block girls toilet. MediaCorp people came, started filming and spoiled our mood. Went to Siglap with SK to buy more paint. Random: Learned that SK does not eat cheese. Went back to school and started painting the background colour. My my, our shirts look very pretty. Now that we are done with the painting, we have to find 200 people to wear them..

Ok, I really have to stop blogging now. Totally wasted the whole morning!!

PS: I want to go shopping for clothes and ear studs!
