HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME =)
I’m EIGHTEEN =D Eighteen sounds like a big number. And it makes me sound old..
Anyways, thanks to all those who thought of me on this day! And to those who gave me those lovely presents
Before I begin on my post proper, this is going to be the final final final die-die last time I’m blogging until after CT2s. Okay, start.
Today was spent was with my family and close relatives. (Refer to previous post) I was “supposed” to go to ECP to exercise with my cousins this morning. LOL IT WAS A PLOY TO GET ME OUT AND CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY -.- Anyways, it rained so obviously their plan could not work and they turned to Plan B i.e. come to my house. And haha, them coming to my house was supposed to be a surprise but my grandma blew it. She called my house and I happened to pick up the phone and she asked if my Aunt is there already. HAHA CMI.
Anyways, when they reached my house, I went out to greet them and Nur (my niece) was happily singing “Happy Birthday”. SO DAMN CUTE! She just would not stop singing it. The thing is that she’s so young, she says Happy Birthday to everyone whom she sees and when asked whose birthday is it, she’ll reply “Nur Syafiqah” (her name). HAHA damn cute I tell you. Apparently, she saw the cake that my cousin baked for me and has been singing even before they left the house.
Today, in history.. My first time celebrating birthday with THREE cakes. #1) Mango Yogurt Cheesecake baked by my cousin (She’s damn good at baking, I tell you. I won’t be surprised if she ends up opening a cake shop.) #2) Fruit & Cheese cake baked by my mum. #3) Chocolate Truffle cake bought by my dad. WOAH.
Nur, who thinks that it is her birthday today, was so happy when my parents walked into the living room with the cake + lighted candles AND AND AND.. SHE BLEW MY CANDLES!!!! AHHHH. She blew 4 small candles. Leaving me with 1 big candle + 4 small candles = 14 years old =) Played along with her “game” and cut the cake with her. HAHA.
Ate food. Ate cake. Talked. Laughed. Played with Nur. SHE IS SO CUTE! I have a message tone of her voice! AHH. Recorded her voice and made it my message tone. Haha, she loves dancing to the Mr. Bean cartoon song and imitates the way Mr. Bean dances. And Barney and Elmo too. LOL. If I have a child, I want my child to be as cute as her! Or better still, cuter =)
Yesterday was spent with #1) GUIDES, #2) ODAC-ers. My two CCAs!
Met up with the Guides at Seoul Garden, Bugis where I was the first to feel full. Had fun cooking my own food and making my own ice kacang! Shall bring my mum there one day =) She hasn’t gone there before. Ah, bad side about eating at Seoul Garden: YOU’LL STINK! Serious. We (Me, Jia Ni, Charis) were spamming baby powder, trying to mask the smell of the smoke on ourselves. Met up with Sandra, Syahidah, Pamela, Jia Ni, Charis, Eugenia, Denise and Adeline! MISS THEM LOADS. Thanks JiaNi & Pamela for the orange Nalgene bottle with Crabby! =) And THANKS JIANI for the lovely photo album. SO PRETTY! (And I’m touched.) And for the cake too. Sad thing we forgot to take a picture of the cake before I cut it=( I had fun lunch-ing with you guys! We’ll have a proper Guides outing after ALevels k?
Train-ed to City Hall where we (JN & I) waited for the ODAC-ers and in the process, got “conned” by a guy into buying a card + bookmark + 2 pens for TWELVE BUCKS! Quite ex, even for charity. Went to Swensens, Marina Square but JN & I didn’t eat. I was still feeling stuffed from the Seoul Garden lunch. Had a free ice-cream from them though, ’cause it was my birthday (actually not yesterday but they gave anyway). Got helium-filled balloons which did not float -.- Because they were too heavy with the photos and notes pasted on them. And a card (?) with a cat and photos. Thought the cat was a raccoon until I read AD’s note, haha. I was quite bored, actually. My phone had been vibrating in my bag for quite some time but I didn’t dare answer the phone in case my dad shouts into my ear. So I left at about 920pm. But surprise surprise, my dad was actually in a very good mood. And when I told my mum about how I was scared of picking up the phone calls, she said that it was her calling using my dad phone wanting to ask what time I will be leaving because they wanted to wait for me at the MRT Station. But I didn’t answer the calls. So anyways, her point was that.. If I had answered the phone, I wouldn’t actually have to rush home. Nevermind.. Anyways, I was quite happy when I saw them waiting for me outside the MRT Station =)
Went home, spent some 45mins or so trying to peel the photos and notes from the balloons and yay, they could finally float (But they could no longer float this morning). And kept them nicely in a photo album.
I’d love to say that I had a great birthday but.. Honestly, I was feeling quite sad yesterday and early this morning. A few reasons.. Don’t know if I should be saying this on my blog but I’ll say it anyway. I actually cried while walking to City Hall MRT Station from Swensens. I don’t know why but it just came. I bet I looked like some weirdo, carrying a bunch of balloons and crying. Clash. Irony. But I couldn’t help it if the tears were to flow. That’s the outcome of one of the reasons that made me sad.
(Updated the list of people who ever made me cry, from 4 to 5.)
And the second reason. I was waiting. Did you know? I was waiting for your call. But it never came. I waited. From the moment I got home. Till 2am. With every minute that passed, my heart sank. After all that we’ve been through, what have we been reduced to?
Maybe it’s time I stop.
(If it wasn’t for the celebration I had with my family today, I’ll say, nope, I didn’t have a great birthday.)
Waiting for your call, I’m sick, call, I’m angry, call
I’m desperate for your voice.
Hey. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! why did you cry? dont cry. SMILES. (:
