HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
If you have yet to make your new year resolutions for 2009, here’s your second chance at it.
Just came back from kenduri tahlil at my grandma’s house. It was a very heart-warming event ’cause (almost) everyone turned up. Young and old, near and far, yeah yeah you get my point.
Went to school for OG meeting on Saturday and went straight to grandma’s house after that. Slept for quite some time ’cause I was damn tired. Woke up to help with some cooking. Kak Ngah brought Nur over! She’s so damn cute and smart la, I tell you. And she’s only 1 plus year old! Kak Long, Mak Ngah & Pak Ngah came later at night. Oh and Kak Long brought Syahmi along too. But too bad he’s only 2 months plus and we couldn’t play with him. Soon, soon! Thought that Pak Lang & Mak Lang will be reaching Singapore by that night but they got stuck at JB and stopped there for the night before continuing on their journey the next morning.
Went to sleep a little past midnight, only to be woken up like 3 minutes later ’cause my left eye started to itch really badly. I went to the kitchen where my mum was finishing with the cleaning up of the kitchen. She told me to flush my eye with water. That didn’t work and my eye started to swell even more. Got a warm towel to dab on my eye but it didn’t work either. Finally gave up trying to reduce the swelling and slept with the lights on ’cause my mum said it might help chase away whatever insect bit me. Woke up with 3 more bites on my right cheek. But the funny thing is that my sis who slept on the same bed as me didn’t get bitten at all. Hmm.
Woke up to pray and then went back to sleep ’cause I was still feeling tired. Pak Lang & Mak Lang came and I was still sleeping. Woke up, bathed and helped the women in the kitchen for a while before entertaining the kids when they came. Made fruit tarts with cousins. Nice but I still think that the ones I make are nicer! Seriously. Haha.
I can’t help but to say this. This has to be the only time my dad didn’t make any noise when we attend a family function. So peaceful!
Going camping with the same group of people tomorrow!!! Excited yeah.
