Wow after that previous long post, I had totally forgotten to blog about OGL Training like I had wanted to.
OGL Training Day 1
MS & I waited for WT who had to meet the teachers to discuss B2B matters before joining the OG 30mins late. By the time we joined in, they were almost done with Whiney Whiney. After learning Whiney Whiney, we had the Dry and Wet games trial in school. The games were a little boring. Probably because the games that we tried out were they ones that the SC thinks need to be improved on or scraped. The most fun game was the battleship game where we played human battle ship!
After that was lunch. We walked to ECP MacDonalds’ where I had a Fillet student meal =) I had wanted to buy McSpicy after seeing WT ordering hers but I decided that it may be too much for me to eat considering that I was just hungry and not starving yet. Got to interact with the other Thor OGLs and talked to them for the first time, like Rachel, Louise, Gabriel etc. Went back to school where we learned a few VJ cheers and proceeded back to ECP for Sea Carnival trial.
For Sea Carnival we had to play in sub-OGs. I am in T6 which means that I will play with/against V6, IV6, C6, O6, R6, I6 & A6. There was only Gabriel and I left in T6, so sad but I got to talk to him during the Sea Carnival so it wasn’t that bad lah. Our first game was Sea Volleyball and everyone knows that I suck at ball games so the only help I could give was to retrieve the ball when it went off court which inevitably made me wet.
Our second game was Capture-the-Flag or in our case was Capture-the-Flowers ’cause they didn’t have their flags ready yet. It was quite fun but slightly confusing because we were not wearing the same colour bandana (HAHA the B thing) which made it hard to distinguish which group the others were from.
Next was Sole-to-Sole where it’s kind of like Jacob’s Ladder but we had to run into the sea, get some water and run back to fill up our pail.
After that was Dog-and-Bone which I believed would have been a much enjoyable activity if the surface of the mat hadn’t been so abrasive.
Our final game was Telematch but we didn’t get to play it because it started to rain and we were instructed to head back to school. We actually had 2 other games to play besides Telematch. So sad.
Day 1 ended earlier than expected but because I went to bathe first, I ended up leaving school at about the same time I would have if it had ended on time.
OGL Training Day 2
JN, SK & I were supposed to go jogging in the morning before the training but due to unforseen circumstances we could not go jogging. And the whole bunch of ODACers walk into LT2 late because some of us had some ITC matters to settle and some were just plain late. Didn’t feel good going in late because it reflects badly on us =(
Basically today is just mass dances and mass dances. I have yet to master the mass dances. I know the steps but I don’t know which step comes after which. Meaning I can dance if someone leads me with the music. And more cheers. Some visitors popped by to watch us cheer because they wanted to feel the Victorian spirit, hoping that it will aid them in designing our 25th anniversary logo. Got me a little high.
Lunch was at airport’s Popeye’s. And we were slightly late but it didn’t matter much because even those who were already in school were not at the concourse yet. After lunch we presented our ‘Go-kart’ skit which was pure justwhack-ness! But it was fun =)
After the whole day we stayed back for OG meeting to discuss the final banner design, identity and meeting dates. 135-ed home with MS.
