HAPPY YOUTH DAY =)
Things that made me a happy youth today:
1) I passed 2 Star Kayaking Course!!
2) I made a resolution to study hard and study smart for Promos and hopefully not to get my scholarship withdrawn (which is a very high possibility at the rate I am going).
3) I finished reading 2 books! It has been ages since I last read a book.
4) I did a bit of Math hehe.
Come to think of it, I was not that happy today, just feeling normal. No overwhelming emotions etc.
This week will be a happy week, hopefully.
2 Star Kayaking is OVER! I’m feeling half relieved and half sad. Well, relieved ’cause it’s over and sad ’cause erhm it’s over? Haha. Day 3 was pretty okay. Learned new skills such as bow rudder, partial high support recovery, edging etc. Oh and we did MASS CAPSIZE! Freaky but haha quite fun. Usually you will see half of the group capsizing and another half waiting to rescue the “victims” but at that point of time, it was rather funny to see everyone capsizing. I could not find a partner and so did Por Yee who was at the other end of the “canal” so poor Por Yee had to swim and tow his capsized kayak to me ’cause I could not swim towards him. Sorry Por Yee! Oh and Charles called me Maria. … Haha and he called Lauren, Loreal or something that sounded like that. Haha funny sia. And we were constantly kept entertained by Charles who always mispronounce or cannot pronounce words and names. Super funny. I was kind of disappointed that we did not do proper Eskimo Bow Rescue =( Was looking forward to that actually. But it’s ok, it was a good experience for me =)
I am now a certified 2 Star Kayaker =)
My mum concluded that I do not know how to shop for footwear. Twice I shopped for footwear without her and twice I bought a pair that was a size bigger and pretty loose. So now she insists that I cannot buy any footwear without her around if not it will be a total waste of money. Oh fine.
School’s tomorrow! I can’t wait for school!!! (An immature attempt to adopt a positive attitude towards school.)
